Mania ensued when Hayley Kiyoko played to a sold out Showbox Market in Seattle. The anticipation ran high throughout the entire night. If you’ve already snagged tickets (or are planning on going) you’ll need to get there early. There was still a line around the block waiting to get in five minutes before the show started.
Jess Kent, an English-born Australian musician, kicked things off. She had the crowd engaged as soon as she skipped up on stage. She sings about love and the turmoil of growing up, but with pop infused beats. Jess also covered a popular Khalid song, but you’ll have to see what she plays for you. She
Hayley Kiyoko fans are some of the nicest people you’ll ever come across; maybe it’s just the vibe in Seattle. The crowd was so full of energy – singing and dancing along to every word. She collected quite a few bras and shirts throughout her performance. Nearing the end of her set, Hayley took her shirt off, and the crowd screamed for a full minute. She blushed bright red. The fandom is strong, and the #20gayteen movement was very present during her show. Hayley is a powerhouse. Her swagger as she dances across the stage is unparalleled. This is only the beginning; just you wait.
