The Pixies take on the heat of Dallas at Dos Equis Pavilion

While The Pixies played with The Wombats and Weezer in Dallas, many of the concert goers were there solely to see The Pixies. The 100+ degree weather did not deter the ginormous crowd at this outdoor pavilion from seeing their favorite bands.

At the merch table, people purchased The Pixies posters and tee shirts left and right from the moment doors opened. There was a mix of families, couples, and friends out in the crowd seeing their favorite bands together. Every person in the audience, no matter what their age, had a great time. The crowd’s excitement level in the huge Dos Equis Pavilion grew more and more throughout the night. The Pixies hit the stage and a loud uproar started.

The band’s first song of the night was “Ed is Dead” followed up by “Nimrod’s Son”. The Pixies played their biggest hit song, “Here Comes Your Man”, towards the middle of their set and the audience sang along to every word. The band ended their show with their song, “Debaser”, and all were sad that The Pixies were done for the night.

When The Pixies return to Dallas, there will certainly be a big crowd happy to see them again. The passion and energy from the audience in this Texas heat was extraordinary.
