Aussie rockers Last Dinosaurs return to San Francisco to perform at the legendary Fillmore Theater

Australian band, Last Dinosaurs made their way back to the Bay Area for the second time this year – this time playing the legendary Fillmore Theater.

Earlier this year, the band got to play their first US shows ever and played a smaller venue in the area called Slims. The amount of people that were at their last show was insane. The entire venue was packed shoulder to shoulder, but no one seemed to mind cause everyone was so fixated and really into their performance.

This time around, I was excited to see the size of the venue had been upgraded. By the time I had arrived to the venue (before doors opened), there was already a huge line of people waiting to get in. Frontman, Sean Caskey even came out and greeted the people in line who had been waiting for hours.

If you’ve ever listened to Last Dinosaurs music, you’ll know this band has some insane energy and really catchy songs. I was excited to get to attend their second show in the area and was definitely in a trance during their whole set. It was pretty impressive how loud the crowd was singing along to all of the songs. Even standing next to the monitors wasn’t enough sometimes to actually hear the band playing. At one point, while some of the band members were crowd surfing, everyone was jumping so much that the wooden floor started to bounce, but it was an awesome experience. This was one of the very few shows, where I made an exception to go a little crazy and join the crowd in all the festivities.

I feel like I could’ve taken anyone that had never heard of them before to their show and they would’ve come out of it a new fan. Do yourself a favor and give them a listen if you haven’t, and definitely catch their show if they ever come to your area.
