Goldrush Festival in Arizona mixes western vibes with EDM, featuring Alison Wonderland, DJ Diesel, Chet Porter and more

I’ve always heard that Arizona goes hard, but this weekend actually proved it. Goldrush, put on by Relentless Beats, had nothing but bass, amazing fashion, great food, and good vibes. When you walk into the venue, it actually looks extremely western with hay, a horse statue, and some of the vendors are set up in booths that look like a stable.

One of my favorite things about Goldrush was the fact that the crowd had less than 10,000 people but had some of the craziest talent from the electronic and hip-hop genres. Not only was the crowd great, but the staff was too. They were always looking out for people and did their very best to make the experience great to all.

Chet Porter

Artists like Ghastly, who is from Arizona, talked about how surreal it is to be a farmer kid performing in his home state and how blessed he was for the opportunity. Other artists like Dr. Fresch proclaimed that Phoenix is his favorite city to play and I’m convinced. Some of the other highlights from the weekend was when Paz threw Taco Bell out at the crowd, Alison Wonderland bringing Chet Porter and Trippie Redd out, and DJ Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal) picking up a girl in the front row.

The energy was ecstatic and the crowd was as loud as a mainstream festival. I loved how when you walked to the Pioneer Peak stage you walk under an entrance that reminds you of a tunnel and makes you think you’re entering a different dimension, not just another stage. Everything at the festival matched their cowboy theme which made the festival even more unique, this is definitely a festival I hope to attend year after year.
