joan and The Band CAMINO take the stage at the BYX Island Party in College Station, Texas

When I heard that joan and The Band CAMINO were both going to be playing an event (BYX Island Party) together, I had to make it my mission to go. Joan has become one of my favorite bands, and especially more so after seeing and meeting them last year.

I had never even been to College Station, TX but it was quite the little adventure and they drew a great crowd and I know a bunch who also traveled from another city to show their support! They played every song from their latest EP “Portra” along with their recently released “All the Way” and “Drive All Night” along with some unreleased songs, which people still knew the words to. joan is one of those groups that instantly makes you feel at home and happy when listening to their music, and both Alan and Steven both deserve all the success in the world and I’m extremely proud and excited to see their growth and then continuing to succeed more and more.

The Band CAMINO was on after joan. I’ve been a fan of theirs for about a year or so now, and I was ecstatic to finally see them live. I was completely impressed, along with with every single person in the crowd. Even after they had come back out onto the stage and performed their encore, everyone still cheered for more. Those guys brought so much energy and passion to the stage, and it’s always incredible to hear some of your favorite songs sounding just as amazing live and seeing the work and passion being put forward towards the music and making sure to connect with the crowd.

They’re both bands I’ll for sure being seeing again in the future, and I’m looking forward to it and seeing the both of them continue to succeed. All the ticket proceeds for the show went to the Living Water International, so not only was it a great show, but it was also for a good cause!
