16-year-old singer-songwriter Billie Eilish played a sold out show at Granada Theater on a cold Tuesday night. Fans lined up hours before the show even in this below freezing weather to see this young talent. The fans excitement for the night ahead kept them warm on this cold day.
An hour after doors opened there was still a long line of eager fans outside wrapping around the building waiting to get in. Everyone rushed in as quickly as they could to get a good spot. Although many of us were still outside in line during the openers, Finneas and Childish Major, we could all still hear their music clearly, and fans stuck outside were singing and dancing along having a good time.
As soon as the last opener finished, fans started chanting for Billie; and continued to for the thirty minutes between then and when she would finally hit the stage. The room went pitch black and a loud uproar started in the audience. Suddenly you hear the opening music from the hit television show American Horror Story, and Billie pops up on the stage.
Every one of these dedicated fans sang along to each word of every song without missing a beat. Her hit song “You Should See Me In A Crown” started and everyone started dancing. Billie’s passion and energy filled the room and everyone in the audience was feeding off it. After seeing her live, it’s easy to say Billie Eilish has some of the best fans in the industry. Next time she comes through Dallas, it won’t be a shock to anyone if she’s playing a sold out arena.
