The Struts debut new music at Temple Live in Fort Smith, Arkansas (with Spirit Animal)

On the evening of October 25th, 2018, The Struts headlined their first Arkansas show at Temple Live in Fort Smith, Ark.. Along with them came New York band Spirit Animal as the opening act.

These two bands combined created an atmosphere that immediately brought energy levels through the roof! Spirit Animal is one band that I personally didn’t know much about prior to their performance. Have you ever seen someone live and become an instant fan? That’s exactly what this was like. This band has great music, a strong stage presence, and a fun sense of humor… What more could you ask for?

The Struts are a four-piece band out of the UK that ooze rock n’ roll. These guys are what I imagine the lovechild of Aerosmith and The Rolling Stones would be, sound, and look like. Vocalist Luke Spiller has that element of glam that every iconic frontman needs, which of course added onto the captivating show this already was. This event happened to fall on the eve of The Struts’ album release date as well. The band celebrated by performing multiple new songs off of the record, Young & Dangerous, for the audience. The Struts closed out the night on a high note with a lively performance of their hit song “Could’ve Been Me” bringing the show to a perfect end.
