Florence and the Machine brings energy and joy to Seattle’s Key Arena (with Lizzo and St. Vincent)

Florence Welch of Florence and The Machine is an angel of effervescence. The North American leg of the High As Hope Tour kicked off in Seattle at Key Arena. A lineup of powerfully strong women filled the night. Lizzo kicked off the night. Her energy is consistently high. Lizzo is an empowerment of body positivity, and she touched on the subject several times during her performance.

St. Vincent walked out on stage in a green, skin tight latex bodysuit. Her confidence was soaring through the roof. She was a dominant force that could not be reckoned with. St. Vincent is the perfect mix of mighty and sexy. There wasn’t a single moment during her entire performance where the audience was disengaged. The minimalistic lights fell down on her, giving strong shadows and drops of light. It was the best performance to juxtapose what was about to take place next.

Florence Welch walked out barefoot, in a lace piece with one soft spotlight beaming down on the stage. Her presence was calming. Florence is a fairy, in the way that magic spills from her very being. Floating on stage is seemingly second nature for the singer. Every inch of space on the stage is utilized. The greatest energy flowed during her entire performance. Enchantment was everywhere.

The High As Hope Tour has just begun. To find the performance nearest you and to purchase tickets, check here. You can listen to Florence and The Machine’s latest album, High As Hope, here.
