British/Icelandic trio Dream Wife gear up their snappy, DIY punk for shows in Los Angeles and New York in November

London-based and British/Icelandic born Dream Wife made a splash at SXSW, and now they’re returning to the United States this month for shows in Los Angeles and New York. On 11/13, they’ll play Echoplex, and on 11/16, they’ll visit Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn.

The band, who previously toured the U.S. with The Kills, are gearing up to release Dream Wife on January 26th, 2018 via Lucky Number. You can hear the lead single, a punk-rock rage-filled rallying cry called “Let’s Make Out” below.

The trio – Rakel Mjöll (lead vocals), Alice Go (guitar and vocals) and Bella Podpadec (bass and vocals) – met at Brighton University in the U.K., and took their tongue-in-cheek name from “the objectification of women; the 1950s American Dream stereotype package.” Dream Wife say their sound comes from David Bowie and Madonna, two artists they “worship,” but you’ll also hear cues from The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Donnas and former tour-mates The Kills.

Gorilla vs. Bear says the band is making some of the “most urgent, empowering, and subversive rock jams of 2017,” and Entertainment Weekly credits their “astounding musical precision, addictive melodies, and heart.” The two United States shows will be filled with eager fans and plenty of press, but if you can manage to get a ticket, it will likely be a night to remember.

Tour Dates
11/13/2017 Los Angeles, CA @ Echoplex
11/16/2017 Brooklyn, NY @ Baby’s All Right
