Paramore and Best Coast shine at the historic Radio City Music Hall in New York

It was a big night for both Best Coast and Paramore, it was both their first time ever playing the famous venue Radio City Music Hall in New York City on October 4th, 2017. Not only that, but they had sold out the entire venue. As a long time fan of Paramore’s, seeing their name up on that marquee was almost surreal, I can only imagine how they must have felt!

Best Coast came out and wasted no time, hopping right into their first song. Singer Bethany Cosentino, decked out in an awesome leaf print pantsuit, appeared confident and ready to serenade the crowd with songs about California and boyfriends.

Then it was time for Paramore.

The lights of the theatre dropped and everyone was on their feet in an instant, screams of anticipation bounced and echoed off the walls. After what was probably about 4 seconds, but felt like a lifetime, the lights on the stage lit up and Paramore are starting in on “Hard Times”, a single from their newest album After Laughter.

Hayley Williams’ high energy stage presence is always a blast and it is clear that performing is what she was meant to do. Seeing Zac Farro perform as a part of Paramore again was nothing short of nostalgic for those of us who have followed and grown up with them. The dynamic trio hit us with not only current hits, but blasts from the past that brought back fond memories of my hot pink fringe and heavy black eyeliner.

There are not enough positive adjectives for me to describe their performance. Perhaps I am a little biased, but if you have ever had a hesitation about seeing such an impactful band with a powerhouse for a singer, the trio of Hayley Williams, Zac Farro, and Taylor York are not the ones to miss.
