Metal giants Korn pack The Myth in Minnesota as part of their Serenity of Summer Tour

Out on a short run of dates in the midwest following their Serenity of Summer North American headliner, Korn made a triumphant return to The Myth in Minnesota. A tightly packed crowd lined up around The Myth in anticipation for an incredible show Korn would deliver with ease later in the evening.

The Californian giants of nu-metal, consisting of Jonathan Davis (vocals), James Shaffer (guitar), Brian Welch (guitar), Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu (bass), and Ray Luzier (drums), received a passionate welcome from the Minnesota crowd; as soon as the lights dimmed at the start of their set, fans pushed their way closer and began to sing in unison, nearly drowning out the band at some points during their set.

Easily sporting the best lighting and stage aesthetic of the night, each member of the band commanded the stage, fueling the crowd with every hard hitting song. Korn’s performance is a must see for every fan of the band; it was my first time seeing them perform and they beat out every personal expectation I had when I walked in the venue.

Direct support for Korn at The Myth came from New York based rock band Kings Bounty and Ded, a metal band from Phoenix that was added to the lineup a few days prior to the show. Ded, one of the bands on the Serenity of Summer tour with Korn, had an incredibly intense stage presence that matched their sound and was very well received. Kings Bounty had a live sound that was right in-between that of Ded and Korn, and was a great bridge between thither two bands on the bill.
