Spanish quartet MOURN returns to the U.S. in September, including a Brooklyn show with Sloppy Jane

The Spanish quartet MOURN are returning to the United States this summer, playing a string of shows that includes Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory and sets at Hopscotch Festival and Pop Montreal.

Formed in 2014, teenagers from Barcelona play authentic guitar rock reminiscent of eras before they were born. Self-described as “four nerds playing music and shit at the doors of hell,” the band is inspired by Echo & The Bunnymen and Hüsker Dü. They also recently covered the Replacements’ “Color Me Impressed,” giving it a crisp, riff-heavy spirit.

Also on the Brooklyn bill is the highly-hyped Sloppy Jane, led by Haley Dahl.

MOURN’s Over the Wall is due out September 8th on Captured Tracks. See full run of dates below.

09/07 – Washington, DC – Songbyrd
09/08 – Raleigh, NC – Hopscotch Festival
