All Time Low play a sold out show at The Ritz in Raleigh, North Carolina

On Friday August 4, All Time Low played a sold out show at The Ritz in Raleigh, North Carolina. Though front man Alex Gaskarth seemed to be struggling vocally, at times straining to hit higher notes, the Baltimore-based band put on a polished, energetic show that fans have come to expect.

Surrounded by a fantastic light show designed by Jeff Maker, All Time Low played hits spanning their entire 14-year career, starting with “Last Young Renegade,” the title track from their newest album, and ending the encore with “Dear Maria.” Other highlights included several tracks from the new album including “Dirty Laundry,” “Good Times,” and “Drugs and Candy.”

All Time Low has a long history of connecting with their fans on a personal level and showcased this Friday night by playing a short video that featured several fans discussing their struggles with anxiety, depression, and other emotional issues and how the band has helped them find likeminded people before launching in to “Missing You,” a song that encourages the listener to persevere through tough times.

Towards the end of the show Gaskarth and guitarist Jack Barakat pulled about a dozen fans out of the crowd to join them in performing “Time Bomb.” The crowd, full of fans in homemade decorated denim jackets similar to ones worn by the band in recent music videos, danced and crowd-surfed the night away, basking in the high-energy performance.
