Passenger and Paper Kites mix smooth harmonies and endearing accents at Portland show

On March 28th, English singer-songwriter and musician Micheal Rosenburg, better known as Passenger, performed at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, OR.

Passenger has been touring the US with their opener, Australian indie folk-rock band, The Paper Kites. The Paper Kites kicked off the night with a mixture of smooth harmonies, acoustic guitar, and endearing Australian accents, while ending their set on more of a indie rock note.

Once Passenger took the stage, he kept the audience engaged with fun commentary in between songs, high energy while strumming his acoustic guitar, and swooning the crowd with his English charm. Halfway through their set, Passenger’s band left the stage, leaving frontman, Michael Rosenburg to serenade the audience solo. He ended his solo performance with a brilliant cover of Simon Garkunkel’s “The Sound of Silence”.

Passenger will continue to tour the US with the Paper Kites until mid April, and will be performing at several European music festivals this summer.
