Concert Photos: Real Estate awes at sold-out three night run in San Francisco

It was only appropriate that Real Estate killed it on Tuesday at the Chapel, given the venue’s previous use as a morgue. “Be careful, some of the ghosts live upstairs,” joked frontman Martin Courtney . The band played a variety of old and new songs throughout the set, but the packed audience went crazy when they brought out the disco ball with “It’s Real”, the popular hit single from 2011 album Days. “New Song” was also a hit. This was the first show for lead guitarist Julian Lynch, replacing Matt Mondanile. Courtney, Mondanile and bassist Alex Bleeker grew up together, so the addition of Lynch on their forthcoming album will make the release even more exciting. The band seemed completely at ease at the Chapel.
